I decided to put all of the fridge photos together to see how much Cali has grown (isn't that how everyone shows how big their puppy has gotten?).

You can tell that she's definitely not a Ridgeback (instead of getting in the fridge to eat stuff, she's getting in to cool off). We have to be careful about closing the fridge or the freezer since she prefers to sneak in when we're not looking (actually, she's getting me a beer!).

Cali is so funny - she still loves to sit just inside the fridge or the freezer to cool off. I find that I'm using reinforcers that I've never used before with this pup! Sometimes when I call her and she comes running into the kitchen at high speed, I'll use access to the cold as her reinforcement and she dives right in. She's take that over food any day, especially if we've been outside in the heat. She's never grabbed any of the food or knocked anything off the shelves (yet!), so I let her sit there for 2-3 seconds and then ask her to come out and we play tug. I do need to start working on her waiting for permission though (and not jumping in every time we open the door)!

Cali still enjoys hanging out in the fridge, although now she's required to sit or hand target befor eshe gets to go in. On these two evenings, she had played hard outside chasing Angel & Josie and when we came inside she was HOT! We let her sit in the fridge for a few seconds and she immediately fell asleep. I bet that Cali will be asking Santa for a new, bigger refrigerator for Christmas (not that she'll get one)! I have a feeling that Cali would have been happier living in a cooler climate (like one of her sisters in Alaska), but visits to the fridge will have to do.

Cali had not been in the fridge since last fall, so I thought that she had outgrown it. I just forgot that it hadn't been hot out! She hopped in to cool off recently, although she's having a hard time fitting anymore.
